some of that make its way into the san francisco area right now. we have had some patches strong showers moving onshore right now. in richmond heavier rainfall so we'll see that rain on and off throughout the morning hours but i think by the afternoon, we are going to start to catch a break. the storm is going to be falling apart as it moves across the bay area so we get the rain this morning. i think become partly cloudy into the afternoon, showers tapering off and mild temperatures. you will see 50s and 60s outside. maybe one, maybe two inches of rain in the heaviest parts of the bay area. not expecting any flooding but if you are headed on the roads treacherous out there, gianna. >> it sure is, lawrence. in fact, we have a slew of accidents out there this morning especially in the east bay. four accidents blocking lanes. first one reported at lake show at westbound 580 a traffic alert. chp is on scene. two vehicles involved in the accident blocking two right lanes. at one point one person was trapped inside the vehicle. that person has been take

star child, libertarian party in san francisco. like the representative from the sierra club, our organization was not consulted or notified about this. we would like to be considered a stakeholder included in the conversation. i was struck by, you know, a couple of the staffers who spoke. one of them said the most problematic part of the current situation is the lack of predictability and clarity. but, you know, as a relative layperson here trying to figure out what this legislation does exactly, it's not predictable or clear at all. and i have a general kind of a rule of thumb that i think is a good one which is when you don't understand something, vote no on it. i haven't even seen the legislation. you know, one sentimental aspect of this that i'm curious about, maybe some of you might be able to answer this question, is under current legislation, is there any distinction drawn between the appeals process with regard to someone changing something on their private property versus the government agency changing something or some c

up here in san francisco. of course across the city a lot of these trees starting to come down and workers san francisco's recycling program want to make sure the trees don't end up in the landfill. instead they want to put them to good use, eventually turning them into renewable energy. this is the demonstration just about an hour ago here outside city hall as workers put a couple dozen trees in to the chipper. crews from the recycling contractor will begin collecting people's old trees starting next week. workers expect in the end to recycle more than 500-tons of trees. the manager said all of those wood chips can be burned. the heat turns the generator and creates power. when you put your old tree out on the curb for pick up make sure to take everything off it. >> if the lights and ornaments still on it we can't put it in the chipper, it'll contaminate the load, ruin the product. if it's not stripped of all those things that will go into the trash and to the landfill. we don't want that. >> reporter: if you
